titleOfInvention Process for Continuously Cleaning Raw Caprolactam Made From 6-Amino Capronitrile
abstract In the washing of raw caprolactam by hydration, subsequent treatment in an acid medium and final distillation in an algytic medium, (a) converting 6-aminocapronitrile to raw caprolactam by reacting with water; (b) removing difficult and easily boiling components from the raw caprolactam obtained from step (a); (c) treating the raw caph obtained from step (b) with hydrogen in the presence of a hydration catalyst and, optionally, a solvent, at a temperature of 50 to 150° C. and a pressure of 1.5 to 250 bar to obtain a mixture A, (dl) taking mixture A on an ion exchanger comprising acid end groups at a temperature of 30 to 80° C. and a pressure of 1 to 5 bar to obtain mixture B1, or (d2) any solvent prior to addition of sulfuric acid and distillation of mixture A in the presence of sulfuric acid to obtain mixture B2; (e) mixture B1 or B2 with a basen n n Distillation in the presence of to obtain pure caprolactam.
