titleOfInvention Phase retarder and liquid crystal display using the same
abstract The phase retardation film is composed of a polyvinyl alcohol layer or an adhesive thereof and a water-expandable layer organic compound, and the in-plane retardation value is smaller than the retardation value in the thickness direction, so that breakage of durability often occurs, that is, the layer is in a high temperature and high humidity environment. It is peeled from a transparent resin substrate. Therefore, the present invention provides a phase retardation film excellent in durability.n n n For a phase retardation film composed of one or more layers containing one or more organic clay compounds that can be dispersed in an organic solvent and having an in-plane retardation value smaller than the retardation value in the thickness direction, durability is remarkably improved.
