titleOfInvention Quantitative analysis of aliphatic carboxylic acids in aromatic carboxylic acids
abstract The present invention provides a method for accurately and reproducibly quantitatively analyzing a trace amount of aliphatic carboxylic acid present in an aromatic carboxylic acid.n n n The method comprises the steps of (1) dissolving an aromatic carboxylic acid containing an aliphatic carboxylic acid as an impurity in a basic aqueous solution; (2) neutralizing with excess acid using an acid solution; (3) filtering the neutralized solution to obtain a liquid phase containing an aliphatic carboxylic acid; (4) neutralizing a liquid phase containing an aliphatic carboxylic acid with a basic solution; (5) evaporating and concentrating the neutralization solution obtained in the step (4); (6) treating the solid material obtained in the step (5) with an acidic solution to liberate it with a free aliphatic carboxylic acid; And (7) quantifying the liberated aliphatic carboxylic acid.n n n By the method of the present invention, impurities such as aliphatic carboxylic acids such as acetic acid present in solid acids such as TPA and IPA can be accurately measured, so that it is possible to optimize the process in product production and quality control for production of high quality products .
