titleOfInvention Laser light generator
abstract It is an object of the present invention to provide a laser light generating device capable of minimizing losses in a resonator to perform wavelength modulation with high efficiency. The resonator has two reflectors 1, 2 arranged in a linear relationship and a nonlinear optical crystal 3 arranged in the resonator. The nonlinear optical crystal 3 is formed in a ladder shape such that a pair of input and output sides opposite to each other are tilted about an optical propagation axis. The basic laser light is incident on the optical resonator along the optical propagation axis, is converted into the second harmonic by the nonlinear crystal 3, and is emitted from the reflecting mirror 2 to the outside. When the laser light passes through the input and output sides of the nonlinear optical crystal 3, it becomes possible to adjust the beam diameter and the convergence angle of the laser light on the light incident surface (Y-Z plane). For example, by making the incident surface coincide with the plane in which the acceptance angle of the nonlinear optical crystal 3 is small, the efficiency of wavelength modulation is increased.
