titleOfInvention Process for producing a polyolefin having functional groups at terminals
abstract The present invention relates to a process for producing a polyolefin having a functional group at the terminal thereof, and an object of the present invention is to provide a process which can industrially advantageously obtain said polyolefin. In the presence of the object (A) a solid titanium catalyst component (a) and the organoaluminum compound catalyst component (b) and the olefin polymerization catalyst, optionally with an organic silicon compound (c) is used with the formula P-A1R 1 R 2 (Wherein P represents a polymer chain and R 1 and R 2 each represent, for example, a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms); and (B) reacting the terminal-modified polyolefin of -A1R by 1 R 2 by performing a substitution reaction between a compound having a functional group structure, or a first -A1R 1 R 2 group and solvolysis of the terminal-modified polyolefin obtained in the above step (a) having a structure in which the functional groups are formed Followed by a solvolysis to obtain a polyolefin of the formula PX wherein P is as defined above and X is a functional group. Polyolefins having functional groups at their ends are useful, for example, as compatibilizing agents for polymer blending or as raw materials in molecular design.
