titleOfInvention SKIN ENGAGING MEMBER
abstract The present invention is directed to an improved skin contact member (64) for use in a shaving system of a wet shaving type and a safety razor cartridge assembly. According to the present invention there is provided a two-component shaving apparatus in which release is controlled, comprising: (a) an outer layer 72 made of a thermoplastic resin having openings therein and (b) a core region 70 containing an inner surface scavenging aid / RTI > Potentially, the device can maintain a surface appearance, provide controlled release of shaving aid, minimize disintegration of the shaving aid, and prevent shaving aid from being trapped in the strip. In addition, it becomes feasible to add a low melting point additive to the shaving aid, which makes the compatibility between the shaving aid and the shaving aid carrier, such as the lubricating strip composite, less important.
