abstract | Industrially advantageous method for efficiently producing high purity 2,6-dimethylnaphthalene in high yield by crystallization of dimethylnaphthalene isomer mixture and 2,6- in 2,6-dimethylnaphthalene obtained by this method A method for preparing naphthalenedicarboxylic acid is disclosed.n n n The first invention is a method of producing high purity 2,6-dimethylnaphthalene by crystallizing 2,6-dimethylnaphthalene in a dimethylnaphthalene isomer mixture under conditions with a solvent, and the second invention is a precipitated by the crystallization. When the crystal of 2,6-dimethylnaphthalene is filtered by a filtration apparatus, the filter cake is peeled from the filter cloth, and then the filter cloth is washed with a solvent having a temperature higher than the filtration temperature to stably produce 2,6-dimethylnaphthalene for a long time. The third invention provides a method of producing high purity 2,6-naphthalenedicarboxylic acid by liquid phase oxidation of 2,6-dimethylnaphthalene obtained by these methods. |
