titleOfInvention | Negative Peel-Off Color Calibration Method |
abstract | Negative functional color correction methods include cover sheets; A peeling layer containing a polymer having a phenol group; A color layer comprising a binder, a polymerizable monomer, a colorant and any photoinitiator; A photosensitive component comprising a photosensitive polymer having an unsaturated, photocrosslinkable group and having a molecular weight of at least about 3,000, a polymerizable monomer having at least one unsaturated group, and any photoinitiator. At least one of the color layer and the photoadhesive layer may include a photoinitiator; And a first thermoplastic adhesive layer. A photomask is applied to the thermoplastic adhesive layer and the color layer and photoadhesive layer are exposed to actinic radiation through the photomask. After removing the photomask, the photosensitive component is laminated to a temporary container. After peeling off the temporary receptor and the cover sheet, a colored negative image is formed on the temporary receiving sheet by adhering the exposed area of the color layer to the temporary receptor and removing the unexposed portions together with the cover sheet. These steps are optionally repeated using another photosensitive component with different colorants and attaching another image onto the already formed image on the temporary receiving sheet. The temporary receiving sheet is laminated to the permanent sheet via the images using heat and pressure. The temporary receiving sheet is optionally removed. |
