titleOfInvention | Rigid Urethane Foam for Structural Materials |
abstract | The present invention relates to a rigid urethane foam for structural materials used as a substitute for natural wood in building materials and industrial materials, the conventional rigid urethane foam is inferior in mechanical properties such as bending strength, compressive strength, tensile strength, etc. It solves the problem of hardly showing the fibrous characteristics of wood.n n n That is, in the present invention, a low molecular weight polyether polyol and an excess of isocyanate are first reacted to prepare an isocyanate terminal urethane prepolymer having an NCO% of 15 to 28%, and then again a polyether polyol and a polyester polyol. The present invention relates to a rigid urethane foam for structural materials prepared by mixing and foaming a polyol mixture comprising a polyol and an additive such as a crosslinking agent, a catalyst, a surfactant, a foaming agent, and a flame retardant, wherein the rigid urethane foam prepared according to the present invention has a mechanical property. This enhanced and more fibrous nature of wood makes it possible to use as a substitute for natural wood as a structural material because it does not break or break even in nail or screw work. |
