abstract | Deoxy and oxygen substituted sugar-containing 14-aminosteroid compounds of the general formula and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof:n n n n n n n n Wherein a) R 1 is (i) COOR 5 , wherein R 5 is a lower alkyl group having 1-6 carbon atoms; Lower alkyl groups having 1 to 6 carbon atoms substituted with amino groups; Arylalkyl or heteroarylalkyl group or carbocyclic ring, or (ii) CHR 6 OH, wherein R 5 is a hydrogen atom or a lower alkalyl group of 1-6 carbon atoms, or (iii) COR , Where R Is hydrogen, a lower alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms; Amino substituted with lower alkyl of 1 to 6 carbon atoms; Amino or dialkylamino, b) R 2 is —NR 7 N 8 ; Wherein R 7 and R 8 are the same or different and are a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group of 1-6 carbon atoms, and c) R 3 is (iii) a deoxy or oxygen-substituted monosaccharide residue of the formula:n n n n n n n n Wherein R 9a , R 9 , R 10 and R 10a are the same or different and lower alkyl having 1 to 6 carbon atoms; Hydrogen; Hydroxy; fluorine; Alkoxy; Acetoxy; Arylalkyloxy; Heteroarylalkyloxy or benzoxoxy, R 11 is lower alkyl having 1-6 carbon atoms; Hydrogen; Hydroxy; fluorine; Benzoxyl; Arylalkyloxy; Heteroarylalkyloxy; Acetoxy or alkoxy; Wherein any of R 9 , R 10 and R 11 may not be hydroxy or acetoxy when R 5 is lower alkyl of 1-6 carbon atoms; Provided that R 9a is hydrogen and R 10a is hydrogen and R 9 is hydrogen; Hydroxy or acetoxy; R 11 is hydroxy; If acetoxy or alkoxy R 10 may not be hydroxy or acetoxy; R 12 is methyl; Acetoxymethyl or hydroxymethyl; t is a single or double bond, or (ii) a deoxy or oxygen substituted monosaccharide residue of the formula:n n n n n n n n Wherein R 11 is arylalkyloxy; Oxosilane substituted with heteroarylalkyloxy or lower alkyl of 1-6 carbon atoms, R 12 is methyl, and d) R 4 is (iii) OH, or (ii) H, or (iii) OR 13 , wherein R 13 is a monosaccharide residue; Acetoxy, benzoxyl; Arylalkyl or heteroarylalkyl, and e) Z is -CH when (iii) a and b are single bonds, or = C when either of (ii) a and b is a double bond. |
