In vivo, chemotherapy treatment of cancers in cancers first stimulates malignant cell proliferation in animals while inhibiting normal cell proliferation, in particular a potent antagonist selective for intracellular histamine receptors intracellular for receptors in normal and malignant cells. Improved by first administering to animals in an amount sufficient to inhibit binding of histamine.n n n Improved toxic effects on cancer cells from chemotherapeutic agents are obtained while suppressing the adverse effects of chemotherapeutic agents on normal cells, especially bone marrow and gastrointestinal cells.n n n Certain fluoro derivatives useful in such methods are novel compounds. |
