The present invention discloses novel siloxane macromonomers which can be copolymerized with hydrophilic monomers or hydrophobic monomers to produce polymeric materials useful as biomedical devices. Copolymers made from hydrophilic monomers exhibit good oxygen permeability and are particularly suitable for use in contact lenses. |
