abstract | The present invention relates to a surgical fastener consisting of a central span extending from two locking arms, each locking arm having an indentation adapted to receive the latent electrode tip and an indentation adapted to receive the locking nub. End at the staple tip member extending from the central span and ending at the penetrating penetrating tip. The outer bendable member extends inwardly bendable from the staple tip member and ends at the locking tip and the locking nub. In the closed position, the locking tip of the outer bendable member is locked in the indentation of the locking arm to lock the staples in the closed position. In the open position, the locking knob of the outer bendable member is locked to the indentation of the locking arm to hold the staples in the open position. |
