| abstract |
The present application preforms an adverse effect on the sheen and coin surface damage resistance of dry coatings of hard and irregular titanium dioxide pigment particles (to which these titanium dioxide pigment particles are incorporated), thereby providing a predefinable shape and particle size. To reducing the titanium dioxide pigment particles with a method of modifying them into polymer particles.n n n The polymer particles are colloidally stabilized and colloidally stabilized titanium colloidally stabilized with a polymeric water-soluble compound containing a component that can be adsorbed onto the titanium dioxide particles. Upon mixing the aqueous dispersion of dioxide particles, the components are adsorbed onto the titanium dioxide, forming a colloidally stable polymer-modified titanium dioxide aqueous dispersion useful as coating compositions. |
