abstract Fifteen insecticidal and nematocidal title compds. RP(S) (OR1) (SR2) (I; R, R1=C1-C8 alkyl; R2=C4-C8 branched alkyl) were prepd. by esterification of RP(S)C12 with R1OH and R2SH. Thus, 0.5 mole EtP(S)C12 and 0.55 mole Me3CSH in 500mL dry PhMe with 0.6 mole Et3N,heated at 80≰C for 3 hrs., gave 55.4% EtP(S) (SCMe3)C1, which with NaOEt gave 77.7% EtP(S) (OEt) (SCMe3). At 0.1 ppm EtP(S) (OMe) (SCMe3) resulted in a 100% kill of corn rootworm after 48 hrs.
