abstract | A test strip contg. heavy metal salt and nitroprusside salt for ketones in body fluid was prepd. An absorbent such as diethylaminoethylcellulose was soaked into the media which dissolved or suspended 5-15% heavy metal salt (eg. Chloride or sulfate of Ni, Fe, Cu and Co) and 5-15% nitroprusside salt, and was dried at room temp. ˜50≰C or in the air. On the hand, tablet, granule or pill with additives formulated by convenient method were available as colorant to body fluid. The min. detection conc. was 1mg/100ml of acetoacetic acid in urine. |
