abstract The present invention provides a reactor comprising the steps of: - providing a reactor containing a liquid reaction medium comprising water, - introducing into said reactor an ethylene monomer and a fluorinated monomer, said fluorinated monomer being tetrafluoroethylene (TFE); chlorotrifluoroethylene (CTFE) or mixtures thereof, pressurizing a reactor, supplying a redox initiator comprising an oxidizing agent and a reducing agent to the reactor to initiate polymerization, wherein the oxidation wherein the reducing agent of the reducing couple initiator does not contain a sulfur atom having an oxidation number of 4 or less, wherein the reaction medium does not contain a fluorinated surfactant. It relates to a manufacturing method.
