titleOfInvention Electronic Aerosol Delivery Systems and Methods
abstract A user characterization method for an aerosol delivery system configured to generate an aerosol from an aerosol generating material during user inhalation comprises: detecting an airflow (c 1 , c 2 ) associated with the onset of user inhalation on the aerosol delivery system; calculating a gradient (rate of increase) (d 1 , d 2 ) for the airflow during a first interval (t s ) following the start of inhalation; predicting at least one of suction intensity (peak airflow) (p 1 , p 2 ) and duration (t 1 , t 2 ) based on the calculated gradient; and adjusting one or more operating parameters of the aerosol delivery system in response to the one or more predicted intensity and duration of inhalation.
