abstract | The present invention relates to a cell culture medium for culturing cells, containing an iron-citrate-diphosphate complex as an iron source. The invention further relates to a method for culturing a cell, wherein one or more cells are replicated or maintained in the cell culture medium according to the invention, and a nucleic acid leading to the production of at least one recombinant protein, the cell culture according to the invention A method for expressing at least one recombinant protein in a cell culture medium, which is introduced into a cell replicated or maintained in a medium. The cell culture medium according to the present invention is such that the iron source contained therein dissolves very efficiently and rapidly in an aqueous solution (eg cell culture medium, cell culture supplement or water) and efficiently enters the interior of the cell. It is advantageous in that it leads to an increase in cell viability and product titer (also referred to as product concentration) during recombinant protein production, and is very inexpensive. |
