The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical dosage form comprising (a) metformin or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and (b) calcium citrate. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the pharmaceutical dosage form further comprises vitamin B12. The invention also relates to the use of said pharmaceutical dosage form in the prevention or alleviation of metformin-induced vitamin B12 malabsorption. |
