A method for preparing a liquid tobacco extract comprises the steps of: preparing a tobacco starting material; heating the tobacco starting material at an extraction temperature of 125°C to 160°C for 90 minutes to 270 minutes; collecting the volatile compounds released from the tobacco starting material during the heating step; and forming a liquid tobacco extract comprising the collected volatile compounds. |
