abstract The present invention relates to compounds of formula I (hereinafter referred to as P2X 3 inhibitors) which inhibit P2X purinoceptor (purinergic receptor) 3; Specifically, the present invention relates to a compound that is a pyridopyrimidine derivative, a method for preparing the compound, a pharmaceutical composition comprising the compound, and a therapeutic use thereof. The compounds of the present invention are effective against P2X 3 receptor mechanisms such as respiratory diseases including cough, asthma, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It may be useful in the treatment of many related diseases.
