titleOfInvention | MR-based method of providing information for diagnosis of nonalcoholic steatohepatitis |
abstract | The present invention relates to a MASH score for diagnosing nonalcoholic steatohepatitis, and more particularly, to a score combining clinical findings, blood test, and MRI results of a patient for diagnosing nonalcoholic steatohepatitis in total nonalcoholic steatohepatitis. . The prevalence of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease is increasing worldwide, and it is reported that about 30% of the total population in Korea also has nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. People with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease are known to have an increased overall mortality and mortality from liver disease. Among all nonalcoholic fatty liver disease patients, about 75% show a good prognosis with simple fatty liver, but about 25% of patients with steatohepatitis show a poor prognosis. However, in order to diagnose steatohepatitis, it is necessary to observe hepatocyte ballooning through liver biopsy. However, biopsy is expensive, requires hospitalization, and carries the risk of side effects such as bleeding/infection, so there are limitations to proceeding in all patients. Accordingly, the present invention provides an MR-based nonAlcoholic SteatoHepatitis (MASH) score that combines clinical findings, blood tests, and MRI results of a patient for the diagnosis of nonalcoholic steatohepatitis in all nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. |
