Treatment of cancer using SPS4P fusion protein |
abstract |
Compositions and methods are provided for the treatment of cancer in a subject comprising administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of a polypeptide agent that inhibits an EphB4 or ephrinB2 mediated function. In various embodiments, the method further provides for administration of a therapeutically effective amount of an immune checkpoint inhibitor. We found that the synergistic effect of the combination of EphB4-ephrinB2 inhibitor and checkpoint inhibitor activates T cells and trafficking of T cells and NK cells to the tumor via migration of immune cells (eg, CD3 and CD8) to the tumor. It has been demonstrated to provide excellent progression-free survival (PFS) and objective response rate (ORR) for patients with various cancers. |
