abstract |
The present invention relates to the field of animal health. In particular, the present invention relates to a recombinant classical swine fever virus E2 protein comprising at least one mutation in an epitope specifically recognized by the 6B8 monoclonal antibody. The present invention also provides an immunogenic composition comprising the recombinant E2 protein of the present invention and the use of said immunogenic composition for preventing and/or treating a disease associated with CSFV in an animal. The invention also provides a method or kit for differentiating an animal infected with CSFV from an animal vaccinated with an immunogenic composition of the invention. |
