The present invention provides that treatment comprises administering to the patient said composition in an amount comprising a dose of 0.25x10 6 to 2.5x10 6 progenitor cells/kg body weight; A heterogeneous human adult liver for treating a patient who has developed or is at risk of developing an acute exacerbation of chronic liver failure (ACLF), wherein the composition is substantially free of an effective amount of an anti-aggregant and the patient is not co-treated with an anticoagulant. To the use of a composition comprising human adult liver-derived progenitor cells, such as -derived progenitor cells (HALPC). |
