An engine system according to the present invention includes an engine including an exhaust line for discharging exhaust gas, a cylinder for burning fuel, a humidifier for supplying water into the cylinder, and a scavenging line for sucking the scavenging gas; and a turbocharger receiving the exhaust gas supplied from the exhaust line, compressing the scavenge gas and supplying the scavenge gas to the scavenge line, wherein the humidifier injects water into the cylinder during a compression stroke of the cylinder to increase the compression temperature.
