abstract Disclosed are a shape measuring apparatus and method for determining a surface position of a measuring target by detecting chromatic reflected light reflected from a measuring target with a color sensor. The shape measuring device includes: a light source 30 emitting multi-wavelength light including light of several wavelengths; a light processing unit 40 for guiding the multi-wavelength light emitted from the light source 30 to the surface of the measurement target 10 so that focal points are formed at different positions according to the wavelength of the light included in the multi-wavelength light; a color sensor 60 for detecting a color value of the reflected light formed by reflecting the multi-wavelength light from the measurement target 10; and a signal processing unit 70 for calculating a surface position of the measurement target 10 on which the reflected light is reflected from the color value of the reflected light output from the color sensor 60 .
