abstract The present invention discloses a non-flammable coating composition comprising a water-soluble binder resin, expanded graphite, and an aqueous solution of a silane compound to which a trace amount of acid is added. As the water-soluble binder resin, an acrylic resin, a polyol, or a mixture thereof may be used. The non-flammable coating composition containing expanded graphite according to the present invention preferably contains 3 to 30 parts by weight of an aqueous solution of a silane compound in which 30 to 70 parts by weight of expanded graphite and a trace amount of acid are added to 100 parts by weight of the water-soluble binder resin. The silane compound aqueous solution is a solution in which a silane compound and water are mixed in a weight ratio of 1:0.3 to 2.0, and 0.3 to 3.0 parts by weight of an acid is added and mixed. Since the coating composition of the present invention gels within a few hours, it cannot be distributed as a composition itself, and is provided as a composition kit, which includes a mixture (I) in which expanded graphite is mixed with a water-soluble binder resin, and a trace amount It consists of a silane compound (II) to which an acid has been added. In the workplace, an aqueous solution of a silane compound (III) to which a trace amount of acid is added is prepared by mixing a silane compound to which a trace amount of acid is added and water in a weight ratio of about 1:0.3 to 2.0. The mixture (I) is a mixture of 100 parts by weight of a water-soluble binder resin and 30 to 70 parts by weight of expanded graphite. When 2 to 23 parts by weight of the silane compound aqueous solution (III) are mixed with 100 parts by weight of the mixture (I) and stirred, the coating composition of the present invention is prepared.
