abstract The present invention relates to an underwater-type zooplankton culture vessel made of a biodegradable material and a method for removing algae from a river using the same. The zooplankton culture vessel of the present invention is biodegradable after fulfilling its function while effectively removing the algae through a biological mechanism without any additional manipulation after being put into the water body where the algae have been generated. Therefore, it can be usefully used as an efficient algae removal device.
