titleOfInvention Method for removing chlorine from waste oil containing high content chlorine using solid acid material
abstract The present invention is a technology for removing more than 90% of chlorine by high-temperature treatment of a high Cl-containing oil using a solid acid material. The fraction from which Cl has been removed can be introduced into the refinery process and converted into fuel or chemical products. In the present invention, chlorine can be removed through heat treatment at high temperature after mixing the solid acid material and the high Cl oil content. In the process of removing Cl, major impurities such as S, N, and O and Na, Ca, and Fe, which can act as catalyst poisons in the refinery process catalytic reaction, are simultaneously removed. In the process of removing Cl from the high Cl fraction through the solid acid material, by slightly increasing the average molecular weight of the fraction composition through oligomerization and alkylation reactions, abnormal reaction, deterioration of product properties, and yield loss can be prevented. It is preferable from an environmental point of view because it can be used as a solid acid material for Cl removal by simply treating the waste solid acid material (waste zeolite, waste clay, etc.) that is discarded after use in the petrochemical process.
