The present invention relates to a catalyst regeneration method for heavy oil hydrocracking, and more particularly, to a heavy oil catalyst regeneration method capable of regenerating a spent catalyst as a catalyst precursor without a separate combustion and leaching process. The heavy fraction catalyst regeneration method of the present invention comprises the steps of: a) preparing a reactant containing a spent catalyst used as a catalyst for hydrocracking of a heavy fraction, a carboxylic acid-based compound, and an amine-based compound; b) reacting the reactants to produce a catalyst precursor; and c) separating and recovering the catalyst precursor from the product produced in step b). |
