A transparent photocatalytic coating is disclosed for in situ generation of free radicals that prevents microorganisms, odors and organic compounds in visible light, which is a particle size suitable for confinement of dopants and excitons for cumulative conversion of photocatalytic processes into the visible range. It is characterized by a catalytic material having a distribution. The invention also features a method of making the photocatalytic material described herein. The present invention also discloses a method for applying a photocatalytic coating to a locus surface. Finally, the present invention features the use of a photocatalytic coating to remove contaminants and microorganisms from the locus. |
