The composition comprising ochratoxin A according to the present invention as an active ingredient inhibits the proliferation of astrocytes by inhibiting the expression of cell cycle regulatory proteins that regulate PI3K/AKT and MAPK signaling mechanisms in astrocytes, and inhibits the proliferation of astrocytes with Bax and TP53 As it shows the effect of improving the apoptosis effect by increasing the apoptosis factor, it can be usefully used in the fields related to pharmaceuticals and functional foods that can prevent and treat neurological diseases caused by abnormal activity of astrocytes.
