The present invention relates to an aqueous dipping composition for coating a textile reinforcing material, said dipping composition comprising from 4.5% to 25% by dry weight of at least one rubber latex, 0.2% by dry weight to 4.5 dry weight percent of at least one blocked isocyanate, 0.3 dry weight percent to 15 dry weight percent at least one filler, 0 dry weight percent to 4 dry weight percent at least one epoxy group-containing compound, and 0 to 2 dry weight percent of at least one polymer having carboxylic acid functionality, the amounts expressed in dry weight percent being based on the total weight of the aqueous dip composition, blocked isocyanate, epoxy group-containing The weight ratio of rubber latex to the sum of compound and polymer having carboxylic acid functionality is at least 2, and the composition is essentially free of resorcinol, resorcinol precondensate, formaldehyde and formaldehyde-releasing components. The present invention further relates to the use of such compositions, methods of coating textile reinforcing materials with such compositions, coated textile reinforcing materials, and respective elastomeric articles comprising the coated textile reinforcing materials. |
