Nanoparticle-based influenza virus vaccine and uses thereof |
abstract |
Nanoparticles that induce an immune response against hemagglutinin (HA) protein from a wide range of influenza viruses and vaccines containing these nanoparticles are provided. The nanoparticles are made from self-assembling proteins, at least one of which is linked to an immunogenic portion of an influenza HA protein. This immunogenic moiety appears on the nanoparticle surface, making the nanoparticles useful for vaccinating a subject against influenza virus. |
