abstract The present invention relates to a plant having improved nitrogen utilization efficiency through induction of double activation tagging mutagenesis of an ammonium transporter and a glutamate synthesis gene and a method for preparing the same. It shows a significant increase in nitrogen utilization efficiency such as nitrogen uptake, assimilation and redirection in the pre-growth stage, which significantly increases the growth rate, biomass and grain yield. The transgenic plant can reduce the amount of fertilizer used while increasing the crop yield under nitrogen-limited conditions, and can improve the quality of crops. Therefore, it can be usefully used in agriculture and food fields.
