abstract | The present invention relates to a set of materials, such as nerve grafts, for performing mammary nerve regeneration with xenograft nerves in breast surgery, such as breast reconstruction. Certain embodiments of the present nerve graft set include at least two nerve grafts prepared from one or more nerves obtained from one or more animal origins, such as one or more intercostal nerves (ICNs). These animal-derived nerve grafts can be used as xenografts in the reconstruction of nerve defects in humans, specifically ICN grafts of animal origin can be used as xenografts in the reconstruction of ICN nerve defects in humans, such as when the breast neurotransplantation technique described herein is used. It can be used as a xenograft. Such nerve grafts of animal origin, such as xenografts, allografts and autografts, can also be used to reconstruct nerve defects in several animals. |
