Impregnated latex products with improved properties are formed from branched block copolymers derived from alkenyl aromatic hydrocarbon-1,3-diene monomer systems and branched polyisoprene homopolymers derived from isoprene. The polymer is obtained by polymerization in the presence of an anionic initiator; at a temperature of 0°C to 100°C; then a multifunctional coupling agent of the formula (R1O)3Si-Y-Si(OR2)3, wherein R1 and R2 are independently C1-C6 an alkyl group; Y is C2 - C8 It is an alkylene group. The polymer is obtained as a rubber cement with high solids content and low zero shear viscosity. Rubber cements with improved properties are useful, for example, in making latex and latex products such as immersed products such as condoms, gloves, and the like. |
