abstract Novel lubricious coatings for medical devices are disclosed. The coating provides improved lubricity and durability and is easily applied in the coating process at low temperatures without deforming the device. The present invention also relates to a novel platinum divinyltetramethyldisiloxane vinylcyclohexanol complex catalyst for use in such coatings. The catalyst provides rapid cure while inhibiting crosslinking at ambient temperature, improving the production pot life of the coating.
