abstract |
The present invention relates to a method for diagnosing a CD206 expressing cell-associated disorder by administering to a subject a pharmaceutical composition comprising a carrier molecule having a detectable moiety attached thereto. The carrier molecule comprises a dextran backbone and one or more receptor substrates that are directly or indirectly conjugated to the dextran backbone and are selected to specifically bind CD206. Also provided are methods for treating CD206 expressing cell-associated disorders, as well as ex vivo methods and kits for quantifying the number of CD206 expressing cells in a body fluid. |
