titleOfInvention Polarizer
abstract An object of the present invention is to provide a polarizing plate of a different shape, and a polarizing plate in which cracks that affect the visibility of a display device in a heat shock test are less likely to occur. The polarizing plate 1 is equipped with the polarizing film 2 and the 1st protective film 3A and the 2nd protective film 3B laminated|stacked on the both surfaces, respectively. The polarizing plate 1 has a concave portion forming a part of the outer shape of the polarizing plate on its outer peripheral edge in plan view, or has a through hole at a position away from the outer peripheral edge. The 1st protective film 3A is retardation film, and the angle which the slow axis and the absorption axis of a polarizing film make is 70 degrees - 90 degrees.
