abstract |
The present invention relates to a method for treating at least one surface of a metal-containing substrate, comprising at least steps (1) and (3), i.e. an aqueous acidic Ni-free composition comprising at least a zinc cation, a manganese cation and a phosphate anion (A ) to form a conversion coating on the surface (1) and vinyl phosphonic acid in the form of polymerized monomer units, (meth)acrylic acid and hydroxyethyl- and/or hydroxypropyl (meth)acrylate a method comprising the step of contacting the formed coating with an aqueous Ni-free composition (B) comprising at least one linear polymer (P) containing at least the composition (B) itself, the composition (B) as well as kits of parts comprising each master batch for preparing both compositions (A) and (B) as well as kits of parts comprising each master batch for preparing both compositions (A) and (B), as well as the present invention. It relates to a coated substrate obtainable by the method of the invention. |
