abstract Disclosed is an aliphatic carbonate and aromatic ester copolymer capable of efficiently increasing the molecular weight of a polymer while reducing polymerization time in the conventional preparation of an aliphatic carbonate and aromatic ester copolymer such as PBCT. The present invention provides an aliphatic carbonate and aromatic ester copolymer comprising a repeating unit represented by the following formula (1) and chain-extended with an isocyanate compound to include at least one structure in the following formulas (2) to (4). [Formula 1] In Formula 1, A 1 and A 2 are each independently a substituted or unsubstituted C 1 to C 60 alkylene group or a substituted or unsubstituted C 1 to C 60 heteroalkylene group, and B is a substituted or unsubstituted an arylene group having 6 to 20 carbon atoms or a substituted or unsubstituted hetero arylene group having 2 to 20 carbon atoms, n and m are mole fractions, 0 < n < 1, m satisfies 1-n, [Formula 2] [Formula 3] [Formula 4] In Formulas 2 to 4, each R is a substituted or unsubstituted C 1 to C 60 alkylene group, a substituted or unsubstituted C 1 to C 60 heteroalkylene group, or a substituted or unsubstituted C 6 to C 20 arylene group or a substituted or unsubstituted C 2 to C 20 hetero arylene group.
