According to one or more embodiments disclosed herein, the catalyst for hydrocarbon conversion may comprise a catalytically oxidized metal material comprising oxidized iron, oxidized cobalt and oxidized copper. At least 95% by weight of the catalytic oxidized metal material may be a combination of oxidized iron, oxidized cobalt and oxidized copper. The catalyst may further include a mesoporous support material including pores having an average pore diameter of 2 nm to 50 nm. At least 95% by weight of the mesoporous support material may comprise alumina. At least 95% by weight of the catalyst may be a combination of a catalytically oxidized metallic material and a mesoporous support material. Additional embodiments are included, such as a method of making the catalyst disclosed herein. |
