abstract An electrically conductive contact is attached to at least one inner side of the vehicle body to test the airtightness of the vehicle body against leaks. Electrical voltage is applied between the contacts and then water is applied to at least one outer side of the vehicle body, and the voltage applied between the contacts is monitored to detect any voltage drop that may occur. In addition to the organic binder, the at least one electrical contact consists of a lacquer composition containing at least one electrically conductive additive.
