The present invention relates to a novel preservative and a method for preparing the same, wherein the preservative of the present invention exhibits excellent antibacterial activity against gram-positive bacteria, gram-negative bacteria, yeast, and mold and has high safety. In addition, the method for preparing a preservative of the present invention is a method of enzymatically converting a natural phenolic compound, and exhibits a high reaction conversion rate in a short time with a small amount of enzyme, even under a solvent-free reaction condition at room temperature and pressure. |
