The present embodiments relate to a positive electrode active material, a method of manufacturing the same, and a lithium secondary battery including the same. According to an embodiment, a lithium metal oxide and a coating layer positioned on the surface of the lithium metal oxide are included, and the coating layer has a peak observed in the range of 1580 cm -1 to 1600 cm -1 when measured by FT-IR, A positive electrode active material including the first compound having a transmittance average of the peak in the range of 0.990 to 0.998 may be provided. |
