A method of preparing 9,9-bis(3-phenyl-4-(2-hydroxyethoxy)phenyl)fluorene is provided. This method includes performing a condensation reaction of fluorenone and 2-[(2-phenyl)phenoxy]ethane in the presence of a catalyst and a co-catalyst, wherein alkylsulfonic acid as a catalyst and a co-catalyst By using the capto-containing compound, it is possible to effectively reduce the formation of by-products and provide a product with characteristics of low saturation, high purity and high yield. |
