abstract |
A method of preparing a proppant having a nanocomposite proppant coating is provided. The method comprises coating the proppant particles with a nano reinforcing agent, a surface modifier and a resin to produce a proppant having a nanocomposite proppant coating. Also provided is a proppant comprising proppant particles and a nanocomposite proppant coating. The nanocomposite proppant coating includes a nano reinforcing agent, a surface modifier, and a resin. The nanocomposite proppant coating coats the proppant particles. Also provided is a method of increasing the rate of hydrocarbon production from subsurface formations through the use of proppants. |
